Fran Orner

Fran Orner has more than 20 years? experience in photovoltaics system design and installation. As a researcher at the UCLA School of Medicine, she designed prototype equipment for automated biochemical analyses. An accomplished construction do-it-yourselfer and designer, Fran illustrated the 1987 edition of The New Solar Electric Home. She and Joel live in Los Angeles in a PV-powered home and are co-owners of SOLutions in Solar Electricity.
