Fr Joseph Ponessa

Father Joseph Ponessa, S.S.D., earned his Doctorate of Sacred Theology (S.S.D.) at the Pontifical Biblical Institute (Biblicum), Rome, and is a graduate of Mount Angel Seminary in Mount Angel, Oregon. He speaks and reads 13 languages, including Hebrew, Greek, Latin, Arabic, and Aramaic, the language Jesus spoke. Fr. Ponessa pastors three parishes in Eastern Montana. He teaches Bible Study to the teenagers at Sacred Heart Parish in Glendive, Montana, and to the inmates at the penitentiary.
