For 15 years Faith Annette Sand was a missionary in Brazil where she raised eight adopted Brazilian children plus two of her own. During this time she began writing for various religious journals, newspapers and secular magazines and founded Edicoes de Esperanca which under her aegis brought out 17 books in Portuguese.
