Eric Woodard is founder of GreatIntern.com, the website that teaches students how to be great interns and hugely successful during their internships. Eric knows firsthand how tricky the path from school to internship to work can be. During college he transferred schools seven times (attending five different universities). After graduating from college, he wound up working for several years as a scuba instructor on Guam. Using many of the lessons he now teaches, from this remote Pacific island Eric managed to land an internship at the White House in Washington, DC. Eric excelled during his internship and was eventually hired onto the White House staff. He went on to create and manage a series of internship programs around the nation's capital where he's had the opportunity to mentor hundreds of student interns to massive success. Eric has created and managed internship programs for the White House and the U.S. Senate. He's also consulted with a variety of national non-profit clients about how to create and manage successful internship programs. Eric Woodard's philosophy about internships and experiential learning is unique because it focuses on practical steps that students implement immediately in order to improve their chances of succeeding as interns. Eric focuses on the topics students don't learn in school, but are assumed to possess as interns. Eric Woodard offers students expertise that bridges the gap. See less
