Elizabeth Lonseth grew up near Boston Harbor on Puget Sound, spending her childhood summers riding her horse, playing on the beach, and reading three or four books a day. Elizabeth Lonseth grew up near Boston Harbor on Puget Sound, spending her childhood summers riding her horse, playing on the beach, and reading three or four books a day. She attended Olympia High School and Washington State University. Lonseth can see the ways God has prepared her to be a writer throughout her life, including the amazing Bible teachers she's encountered since her salvation at age sixteen. In 2004, her husband challenged her to write a book, and Lonseth began the Johansen Family Saga. She is also the author of Leave It with Him and Cares of This World , the first two books in the series. In addition, after both her parents and her husband's parents experienced age-related memory degeneration, Lonseth wrote two nonfiction books on dementia: A Gradual Disappearance and The Dangers of Denial .
