She directs the Cleveland Clinic's Center for Pediatric Neurology, ranked among the top 4 programs in the country by US News and World Report. An active clinician, she attracts personal referrals from child neurologists all over the world. She has published over 250 scientific articles, and is currently preparing the fifth edition of "Wyllie's Treatment of Epilepsy, " recognized as the standard in the field. She has been honored with several awards, most notably the prestigious Epilepsy Research Career Effort Award from the Milken Family Foundation and American Epilepsy Society. As a recognized thought leader in pediatric epilepsy, she has served on the editorial boards of several scientific journals and on the executive boards and committees of national and international scientific societies. Her current research, expanding and redefining key aspects of the selection criteria for pediatric epilepsy surgery candidates, is influencing patient care at the epilepsy centers throughout the world. Dr. Wyllie recently published her first book for the lay public, "Epilepsy: A Cleveland Clinic Guide".
