She has also been an education consultant, Holocaust education consultant, and activist working at local, state, national, and international levels. She attended Tuskegee Institute in Alabama for three years and is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. She graduated with honors from the University of Tulsa, with a Master of Arts degree in history.
