E. Richard Packham was raised in Burley, Idaho. He received a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Idaho and an MBA from Northwestern University. E. Richard Packham was raised in Burley, Idaho. He received a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Idaho and an MBA from Northwestern University. He was instrumental in establishing the first early morning seminaries in the state of Michigan and taught early morning seminary for four years in Midland, Michigan. He also taught institute of religion classes in Detroit, Michigan, and Daytona Beach, Florida. A returned missionary, he is married to the former Beverly King, and they are the parents of nine children and thirty-five grandchildren. He has served as a bishop, stake president, and an ordained patriarch. He and his wife served a CES mission on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation and have served as ordinance workers in the Salt Lake and Orlando Florida Temples. See less
