Born and raised in Grayson County, Dusty Williams, age 28, can trace his roots to almost every little knock about town or community in the before mentioned county. At 14, with the guidance of his grandmother, Kim Williams, he began the study of genealogy and has remained extremely active in the field ever since. Running parallel with this passion is his love for county and local history. In 2006 he founded the Lost and Found Cemetery Preservation, a volunteer group dedicated to documenting and preserving lost and abandoned cemeteries throughout the Texoma region. He has also authored several books and is currently writing a historical column for a local newspaper as well as publishing and editing a newsletter for the nearby community of Dixie. Aside from this, he has managed several family and community reunions as well as giving tours of some of the county's history. A member of numerous county societies, including the Grayson County Historical Society as well as the Grayson County Historical Commission, Williams continues to bring attention to Grayson County history-his home and his pride. Mr. Williams is married to his wife, J Anna and they reside in his hometown of Howe with their three children. See less
