Stephen Burge is Senior Research Associate in the Qur'anic Studies Unit at the Institute of Ismaili Studies, London, and an ordained priest of the Church of England. He holds a PhD in Islamic Studies from The University of Edinburgh for his research on the 15th-century theologian and jurist, al-Suyuti.
