Martin Stevens is a professor in the Centre for Ecology and Conservation at the University of Exeter. He has spent more than 15 years studying the coloration, behaviour and vision of animals, publishing nearly 150 scientific articles on the subject. Martin Stevens is a professor in the Centre for Ecology and Conservation at the University of Exeter. His research focuses on how animals use coloration for defence against predators, especially in marine creatures, birds and insects. He was recently awarded the Zoological Society of London's Science Medal for his work. He is an active science communicator, appearing a number of times on TV and radio, giving public lectures at prestigious venues around the world, and working with famous organisations and museums on science and art exhibitions.
