Douglas Johnson is an assistant professor of psychology, member of the industrial/organizational behavior management faculty, and Co-Chair of the Industrial/Organizational Behavior Management Graduate Program at Western Michigan University, where he also earned both his Ph.D. and M.A. degrees. His research interests are in organizational behavior management, instructional design, and evidence-based education and training techniques, including computer-based instruction. The founder of Operant-Tech Consulting, Dr. Johnson has consulted internationally with organizations on, and provided services related to, instructional design, training design and development, e-learning, performance management, systems analysis, fluency training, incentives, and feedback and employee motivation from a behavior analytic perspective. He directs Western Michigan University's Instructional Design and Management Research Lab, which uses evidence-based methods to develop and maintain consistent and productive human performance outside of training contexts.
