Interested in inland waterways all his life, for the last 20 years he has been an active member of the Wilts & Berks Canal Trust where he holds the position of Archivist. Actively involved with the main restoration at the Wilts & Berks Canal, he is also a project manager at the Latton Basin Heritage site. He lives in Berkshire.
