Dorothy Massey lives in a small town in the north-east of England with her football-mad husband, rock-guitarist son and a rescue dog named Zero. Dorothy Massey lives in a small town in the north-east of England with her football-mad husband, rock-guitarist son and a rescue dog named Zero. On winning a children's short story writing competition in 2007, she was commissioned to write three stories, The Ghost Twin Tales, for the anthology, Mini Mysteries and Kooky Spookies. A further prize-winning competition entry Munch, The Storytelling Cow was recorded as a podcast by celebrity presenter Gail Porter. Since then Dorothy has completed an MA in Writing for Children and continues to publish stories both traditionally and online. Red God Black God, her first published children's novel, was shortlisted for the Bath Children's Novel Award in 2015.
