Donna Lyn Hartley is a fifth-generation Texan transplanted to Tennessee in the early 1990s. Donna spent ten years as a newspaper reporter and editor in Texas, as well as working as a press aide to a Texas state representative and holding media-related jobs in public service and nonprofit organizations.
