Donn Fendler
Born in New York City in 1926, Donn Fendler joined the Navy in World War II. After college he returned to serve his country as an officer in the U.S. Army, retiring after thirty years with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He now splits his time between Clarksville, Tennessee, and Newport, Maine. He has given countless talks at schools, libraries, and to scout troops about his tale of survival.
