Donald Sheehan (1940-2010) earned a PhD in English from the University of Wisconsin (1969); he was executive director of The Frost Place in Franconia, New Hampshire (1978-2005), and senior lecturer in English, classics, and master of arts in liberal studies at Dartmouth College (1989-2004).
