Don's love of history, especially Californian, is evident as he has previously authored Light Over the Mountain: A History of the Rancho Cucamonga Area, Upland Trails: An Early History of Upland and San Antonio Canyon, Proud to Serve: A History of the Upland, California Police Department, Proud Past, Bright Future: A History of the Cucamonga Valley Water District, Century of Community: Upland, California - The First One Hundred Years, and Images of America: Upland. He has also authored Prayer: Encouraging One Another to Talk to God, and an historical novel entitled Francisco's Gold, as well as newspaper and magazine articles and the editing of books for other authors.
