DONALD JUSTICE taught for many years at the Iowa Writers Workshop, Syracuse University, the University of California at Irvine, Princeton University, the University of Virginia, and the University of Florida. A member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and a Chancellor of the Academy of American Poets (1997 2003), his Selected Poems won the 1980 Pulitzer Prize. David has an MFA from the University of Florida where he studied with Donald Justice, and was a Fellow at Middlebury College s Breadloaf School of English. His poems have been nominated three times for a Pushcart Prize, and have appeared widely in publications including The Antioch Review, The Nation, The North American Review, and Poetry East.
