Don M. Snider served for 28 years in the U.S. Army. He then served in Washington, DC, as an analyst and the director of politicalmilitary research at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, as the Olin Professor of National Security Studies at West Point, and a final decade on the Academy's faculty.
