Don Breneman

Don Breneman works primarily in the areas of horticultural and nature photography. His images have appeared in books, magazines, exhibits, billboards, brochures, and websites. Don Breneman works primarily in the areas of horticultural and nature photography. His images have appeared in books, magazines, exhibits, billboards, brochures, and websites. Don is the product manager and photographer for the University of Minnesota's Minnesota Gardening Calendar. Don is a graduate of Macalester College and holds a Master's Degree in photojournalism from the University of Minnesota. For thirty-two years he taught photography at the University of Minnesota. Don's photos have won many awards, including ten gold awards from Agricultural Communicators in Education, and he has received the Award of Excellence in Visuals from that organization. One of his photographs has been accepted into the University of Minnesota's permanent art collection. Don has conducted winter and wildflower photography workshops in Big Sky Montana, Voyageurs National Park, and on the north shore of Lake Superior, as well as workshops and classes in horticultural photography.
