Dominique Moyse Steinberg is a professional social worker with 35 years of experience as a direct-service provider, scholar, researcher, and educator. After retiring from faculty life at the Hunter College School of Social Work in 2011, she founded Custom Elder Care, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting quality of life for older adults in care and their caregivers (customeldercare.com). Dr. Steinberg currently lives in both New York City and West Brattleboro, Vermont. With particular professional emphasis on social group work, she has several social work textbooks and articles to her credit; continues to write for the human-service field; trains and consults human-service individuals and agencies in policy and program design, ethical and effective service development and evaluation; and in helping small groups to deal with group conflict.
