Dick Waterman
DICK WATERMAN founded Avalon Productions in 1964, the first agency devoted exclusively to managing and promoting blues musicians. Waterman has managed a number of legendary blues artists including Son House, Skip James, Bukka White, Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, and "Mississippi" John Hurt and has promoted concerts by Bruce Springsteen, James Taylor, Cat Stevens, John Lee Hooker, and many others. He is the only non-performer in the Blues Hall of Fame.
