Dick Derksen
Dick Derksen came out of a Russian Mennonite background. After serving as a teacher and administrator in two schools for missionary children in Europe, he retired to Calgary, Alberta, in 2007. He began researching the history of his Mennonite forebears and writing this series of novels, along with many other services to church and charities. Jeraldine Wilkinson became Mrs. Derksen on August 31, 1968. Jerry was trained as an operating room nurse, but retrained to become a bookkeeper while working in Europe. Her hobby of water colour painting has been a real source of pleasure and enrichment to her. She drew the illustrations and painted the cover picture for this novel. See less
