Destiny Nixon was born in Lincolnton, NC on September 9th, 1990. Following her graduation from Harding University High School in 2008, Destiny began her collegiate tenure at North Carolina Central University. After no longer being able to continue her studies with an undecided major, Destiny's passion for writing moved her to pursue a degree in communications studies. On May 12, 2012, Ms. Nixon graduated from the University of NC at Charlotte with a Bachelor's of Arts in Communications and a minor in Journalism after transferring to the university during her junior year. Exactly two weeks after college graduation, Destiny was sexually assaulted. This life-altering event prompted her to become an advocate for victims of sexual assault through volunteering for "Touch Me Not Inc." In mid-2014, Destiny completed a Life Coach course with Life Purpose Institute which equipped her with the necessary tools to help individuals discover and work to achieve their life's purpose. An unusual encounter with God in February 2015 pushed Destiny to surrender to God's will for her life. Cultivating her relationship with Christ gave her the necessary tools, strength, and desire to unlock her life's purpose and unleash her destiny. On August 26, 2015, Destiny was ordained as a Sexual Morality Counselor, despite having struggled with sexual immorality most of her life. In December 2015, Destiny was ordained as a Sexual Morality Trainer, which allows her to train other individuals who desire to promote purity by becoming sexual morality counselors. Ms. Nixon has ministered the Word of God through various faith-based workshops and conferences and has allowed God's light to shine during non-religious motivational speaking engagements. In February 2016, Ms. Nixon birthed Royaute', an organization through which men and women of God are encouraged to and are taught how to bask in God's marvelous light by behaving as the royal priests and priestesses that God intends for us to be. Destiny also aspires to begin the journey to become an ordained minister. Ms. Nixon looks forward to the challenges and blessings of being a God-chaser. Her only true desire is to continue to live a life that is pleasing and acceptable to God, the one who is responsible for saving her from herself. See less
