Denis' first book was a travel memoir, A Yank Back to England. He has also penned many plays; his first was presented by the Royal Shakespeare Company, other works have been performed at the Arts Club of Washington and the Kennedy Center's Play to Stage Festival. Before turning to writing full-time, he was co-owner of a small advertising firm in the Washington, DC area. Denis lives with his wife and daughter on the coast of New England.
