Debra Johnson resides in New London, Wisconsin and she is Mom to Jeffrey and Ebby and Eeyore. Debra is an Equine Specialist (ES) who cares for all aspects of the horse, feeding, watering, and training and assists the therapist in an equine session.Debra began her work in 2010 as a volunteer for a non-profit mental health facility where they partnered with horses as part of the healing process. She then acquired her ES and worked with youth and teens with trauma history which includes suicidal ideation. She continues her work with the horses and those seeking help from healing with horses.In 1999, Debra worked with kids as a substitute teach for 4-K to 12th grade in all subjects.At the age of ten, Debra began studying martial arts. Debra also holds a Third Dan Black Belt in American martial arts. She was also a martial art fighting competitor and instructor. Olympic gold medalist, Arlene Limas referred at the Diamond Nations in Minnesota where Debra placed third. Through her studying of martial arts, Debra learned about Chi/energy flow in preparation for brick and board breaking demonstrations.Ironically, Martial arts were the foundation that prepared Debra in her work with horses. Chi or energy surrounds everything and knowing this, Debra learned to apply it with the horses. A few years ago, she attended several healing ceremonies with an Oneida native medicine man Dennis King aka "Rocky."Debra has incorporated this healing and lessons from Rocky and other spiritual teachers in her life to help assist her in her work with the horses.
