David de Boer is Assistant Professor of Political History at Radboud University Nijmegen. He is the author of The Early Modern Dutch Press in an Age of Religious Persecution: The Making of Humanitarianism (2023). He is co-editor of Rebellion and Diplomacy in Early Modern Europe (2023) and Revolts and Political Violence in Early Modern Imagery (2021).
