"Race to Bastogne" is his second book on WWII. The first entitled, "Thunder at Prokhorovka", details an important battle on the eastern front. After earning his college degree, Schranck began a managerial career in the automotive aftermarket industry, but he continues to devote time to studying history, giving special attention to American-related wars going back to the Civil War.
