Dave Holt

Dave Holt was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, of Irish, English, and Ojibway (Chippewa) Indian ancestry. He began as a lyricist and songwriter, a vocation that led to his move to California in 1970. He entered San Francisco State Creative Writing program and earned his B.A. in '93, and M.A. in '95. In 2005, he founded a Native Peoples Group for employees of American Indian heritage or affiliation working at Wells Fargo Bank.
