Darnell Mayberry is the senior assistant sports editor at The Oklahoman . He joined the newspaper in 2005 after a year at the Akron Beacon Journal and served as the paper's Thunder writer from 2008-2015. He covered the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets from 2005-07.
