Dr. Dimitrova, Iowa State University, has published more than 50 research publications in the area of journalism and political communication, which have been cited more than 3,000 times to date. Dr. Dimitrova has served as guest editor for two special issues, including a Journalism and Mass Communication Quarterly issue on political campaigning around the world. Dimitrova was recently selected as Senior Scholar by AEJMC, the premier association for journalism educators in the United States. She also regularly teaches a World Media Systems class that interrogates the issues raised in the proposed book and would benefitfrom a current text on global journalism. Growing up under a communist media system, Dr. Dimitrova possesses unique appreciation and ability to compare various media systems around the world. See less
