Formally a rave and club DJ, DJ DB, DB Burkeman is often credited and (sometimes blamed) with bringing the subgenre of Jungle to the US. He first released drum & bass records and compilations for the label Sm: )e Communications before opening Breakbeat Science, which became ground zero for the scene. Now retired from nightlife, he's making some noise in art & publishing by producing books on art, music and coutureculture under his full name.
