D.J. Edmiston is the author of Beyond the Shadow Wall, Book 1 of the middle-grade Fantasticademy series, and Edentown, a book for adults. He is a former playwright, actor, and director whose plays have been produced in theaters around the country. When not visiting Lumintasia, he lives in northern Idaho with his family and two yappy but lovable dogs. His pastimes include playing guitar, cooking, and ruling the karaoke stage as "Dissonance Master." He hates mowing.
