Professor John Hatchard is a professor at the Open University Business School and has written widely on constitutional law matters. Martin Polaine is currently seconded to the Independent Police Complaints Commission where the focus of his work is on the formation and implementation of policy relating to corruption involving police officers. He was called to the bar in 1986 and until 1994 practised from 4 Brick Court. Prior to his secondment, he was Senior Crown Prosecutor for the Crown Prosecution Service. During his time with the CPS, he was involved in setting up a specialist unit dedicated to the prosecution of sensitive corruption cases.
