Clayton Rand

Clayton Rand xED;s story is also part of the American saga. Raised in a sawmill town in the backwoods of Mississippi, he worked his way through Mississippi State College by selling peanuts to the students and through Harvard Law School by peddling kitchen utensils to New England housewives. In 1919 Mr. Rand bought his first country newspaper, the Neshoba Democrat, after 3 years judged the best weekly in Mississippi.
