Ciara L. Hill is a therapist, clinical supervisor, and an international award-winning author who grew up in a military family and became used to moving and living in different places throughout her formative years. She attained a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Delaware State University and a graduate degree in Community Counseling and holds many other certifications related to her career. But it is with writing that she has found her true vocation in life. Her book, Shiloh and Dande the Lion, is a lesson in diversity, was one of the winners of The Wishing Shelf Book Awards 2020, and was named best of the best by the Black Caucus American Library Association. In addition, Ciara has authored several other books, including Soulful Holidays which is a seasonal best-seller, while Thank Fall and Cocoa Mistletoe are her latest works. Today, Ciara lives in the Washington, DC metro area, with her husband and their son. In her free time, she enjoys relaxing on a beach, listening to R&B and old school music, watching 80s and 90s movies, and cozy nights during autumn. Moving so often during her childhood helped Ciara to better understand and appreciate the importance of diverse representation in all walks of life.
