Chris Ogle was born in Stanmore just outside London and now lives in Watford. Chris is a co-Owner and Managing Director of Internet Power Systems Ltd. Since leaving secondary education, Chris initially worked with Rolls Royce, Leavesden before moving on to a software house in London.Chris has worked in the computer industry for over 25 years. An established programmer on a whole range of computer platforms Chris is equally at home with technicians as well as commercial and business professionals.Although initially from a technical background Chris has helped a wide variety of companies to implement manufacturing and accounting systems. The interface between the system users and the technical development team is where Chris's major strengths lie.Since 1992 Chris has run and managed his own SME businesses, primarily implementing and building business process solutions for other SME's.In 1997 Chris recognised the impact that the Internet would have on the business world and was quoted as saying:-'one day all business software will be delivered through a web browser' From the year 2000 Chris began to develop solutions in the 'Software as a Service / Cloud computing' marketplace although these terms would not surface for another 8 years! In 2002 Chris established Internet Power Systems Ltd. The company was set up to introduce low cost, flexible, trouble free business computing to SME's and take them through the 7 Steps to success outlined in this book. For the first few years IPS set about creating i-Tr@der, their Web based business platform that sits at the centre of the 7 steps. IPS work with a network of independent Implementation Practitioners that are so essential in providing high quality, individual support required to customers. SME's are now able to enjoy many of the benefits previously only afforded to big corporate companies.'Small and Medium sized companies had been left behind in the Internet race' says Chris 'but speed of decision making, the necessity to streamline their businesses, and ability to adapt operations to the SaaS / Cloud computing model will enable them to compete at every level with the big boys'.
