Her most recent book is Understanding the international student experience (2010). Her most recent research interests centre on transnational higher education and inequalities in the context of globalised higher education. She is the co-founder of the East Asia Research Collaboration Network, a research network based in Hull which aims to establish research partnerships between East Asia and Northern Europe. She has strong and active links with universities in China, Vietnam and Mexico. She was awarded a National Teaching Fellowship in 2010 on the strength of her work in international education. See less
