CAROLYN BEASLEY grew up in the bayside suburb of Altona, Victoria and now lives in a coastal town with a fellow writer and Polly, the Jack Russell. Her short stories have won many awards and her work has been published in Australia and overseas. She teaches writing at Swinburne University. Her passions include sitting in gardens and staring at the ocean.
