Carole Ann Drick, PhD, RN is the author of three books on end of life. Mother Stories is the first one followed by co authored End of Life: Nursing Solutions for Death with Dignity (2011) and The Golden Room: A Practical Guide for Death with Dignity (2013). She is a two time recipient of the prestigious American Journal Book of the Year Award. Carole Ann was born in Pennsylvania and grew up in Western New York. After graduating from West Virginia University, she followed the American dream of marriage, two daughters, and working as a nurse followed by graduate school at the University of Pittsburgh. Life as a single parent soon brought a growing realization of inner consciousness. After a doctorate from Indiana University, this consciousness bloomed in 1989 with her opening to non-dual wisdom. Quietly answering this sacred call, she spent the next decade and a half gently traveling internationally, teaching and growing in understanding, integration and deepening present moment awareness. Carole Ann's continual question "Is it possible to live in this moment?" is a simple yet profound message. Upon her mother's death and dying she realized how profound living in this moment really was. And, how many happy memories it created at the end of life. Carole Ann lives her growing passion of shifting consciousness at end of life and continues to live in the moment. She has lived in Austintown, Ohio since 2006. See less
