Miller, MSN, RN-BC, is Clinical Instructor, Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing since 1986, as well as at a host of other nursing programs, and is a Clinical Nurse Specialist, Care and Counseling, Private Geriatric Care Practice since 1990. Carol A. Professor Miller is author of Nursing for Wellness in Older Adults 6e (2012) and Nurse's Toolbook for Promoting Wellness (2007). Nursing for Wellness received the 1990 AJN Book of the Year Award in Gerontology. She has published more than 100 nursing articles and textbook chapters. Ms. Miller has also served as Director of Nursing, Cuyahoga County Nursing Home, and as a Gero NP for the Cleveland VNA. Professor Miller has conducted research on Stresses and Supports in Caregiving (National Institutes on Aging) and the Comatose/Vegetative Patient (National Institute on Aging). She serves as an expert witness in court cases related to nursing care of older adults, and as a consultant to publishers, hospitals, nursing homes, and community agencies.
