Carol Joan Campbell has been writing stories and poems for most of her life. Her children's book Verses From A Garden, and Other Nature Things was published in 2006. Campbell's 1997 song "You Don't Have Fins" that she wrote for a children's safety CD, Why Knot Play By The Rules, won fourth place that year in John Lennon's international song writers competition.
