Prof. C. Sujatha is Professor in the Machine Design Section, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India. She did her post-graduation in Electrical Engineering in 1987 and Ph.D. in Applied Mechanics in 1991 from IIT Madras. She has 38 years of experience in teaching, research and industrial consultancy in the areas of machine dynamics, vehicular vibration, acoustics, instrumentation and signal analysis, condition monitoring, etc. She has also taught courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in subjects related to these areas at IIT Madras. She has delivered numerous lectures and presented papers in international and national conferences. She has around 215 publications in peer-reviewed international and national journals and proceedings of international and national conferences. She has published a book entitled "Vibration and Acoustics: Measurements and Signal Analysis" with Tata McGraw-Hill Education Private Limited. She also has two monographs to her credit. She has guided 38 Ph.D. and M.S. (by Research) scholars and more than 125 M.Tech. and B.Tech. students. She has coordinated a large number of industrial consultancy projects for more than 250 industries in India.
