Bruce Aitken was born in 1945 in the USA. He grew up in a family that had no formal religious or church connections, but nevertheless was full of faith and spirit and love. After an injury ended a promising baseball career, Bruce answered an ad in a Sunday newspaper that changed his life. Casting fate to the wind, based on faith, he took a job with American Express in 1969 in war-torn Vietnam, and embarked upon a life-long love of the Far East and adventure. This led him to people and companies that offered private and confidential financial services, first with Deak and Company (Far East) Limited in Hong Kong and later his own firm, First Financial Services Limited, and he became involved in some of the most famous financial scandals of the 1970s and 80s. After a period of incarceration in a US prison for money laundering, and finding a longing for purpose in life, he started a very popular Sunday night radio program called Hour of Love on AM 1044 Metro Plus, with a special segment called Prison Visitation on the Air which has a "captive audience" of listeners in all Hong Kong correctional facilities. The letters from prisoners published in this book will both trouble you and warm your heart as you experience what life is like for fellow brothers and sisters who are experiencing incarceration. The human spirit, hope and love lead many to realize that "with my faith I can scale any wall". See less
