Brenda Strickland is an author, educator and speaker. She is a dynamic and moving speaker committed to empowering people. She is often asked to give workshops on Everyday Spirituality, in which participants discover their spiritual gifts and apply those gifts to their life's intentions. One participant commented, "In one hour, you helped me solve a problem I've struggled with for six months!" Brenda has given her Voice Production Workshop for many organizations including the Honeywell Engineering Department in Puerto Rico. She says, "Your natural voice is more unique than your fingerprints. Your voice production is vital." A participant commented, "When you know the mechanics, you are empowered to speak and get your message across." A gifted professional pianist and singer, Brenda holds Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Music Education from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. She taught elementary music classes for 35 years in schools from Kansas to Hawaii to Georgia, helping children find their musical voices as they celebrated the music of the world. In recognition of her contributions to spiritual education. Brenda has been inducted into the Martin Luther King Jr. Board of Sponsors of Morehouse College. Brenda and her husband, Rev. John A. V. Strickland, Senior Minister of Unity Atlanta, live in Dunwoody, Georgia. They share their home with their long-haired Dachshund, Duke, and their two cats, Makikilani and Bojangles. See less
