Blinky Palermo

Blinky Palermo was born Peter Schwarze in 1943 in Leipzig, Germany. He took his pseudonym in 1964 and rose to international acclaim under that name, until his premature death in 1977. From the mid-60s on, Palermo made "paintings" by combining single-color, industrially dyed fabrics, and examined the inherent qualities of three-dimensional space and sculpture through his architectural wall drawings and objects.
