Bill Freund

William (Bill) Freund (1944-2020) was professor of economic history at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. He is the author of a number of books, including Twentieth Century South Africa: A Developmental History (2019), The African City: A History (2007) and The Making of Contemporary Africa since the 1800s (1984).
