Bharathi Bhat, Ph.D, retired as a Professor from the Centre for Applied Research in Electronics, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, where she was involved in teaching and research in the field of Microwave and Millimeter wave Engineering. She is a distinguished fellow of the IETE, Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE), and a life member of Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE). She has served as an Honorary Editor of the Journal of IETE, a member of the IETE council, the INAE Council and the National Committee for URSI. She is author/co-author of 87 research papers and six books. She has received Ram Lal Wadhwa Gold Medal, Vikram Sarabhai Research Award, S.K. Mitra Research Award, NRDC Top Invention Award, Prof. K. Sreenivasan Award, Vasvik Award, DRDO Academic Excellence Award and Suman Sharma Award. Shiban K. Koul, Ph.D, is a Professor at the Centre for Applied Research in Electronicss, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, where he is involved in teaching and research in the field of Microwave and Millimeter wave Engineering and RF MEMS. He is a fellow of the IETE, Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE), Senior Member of IEEE, a life member of Institute of Smart Materials and Systems (ISSS) and a member of Micro and Nano Technology Foundation, (MANCEF, USA). He has served as an Honorary Editor of the Journal of IETE. Currently, he is the Chairman of the Editorial Board of the Journal of IETE and a Member of the National Committee for URSI commissions B and C. He is author/co-author of 106 research papers and seven books. He has received Institution of Engineers Gold Medal, INSA Young Scientist Award, URSI Young Scientist Award, Ram Lal Wadhwa Gold Medal, S.K. Mitra Research Award, NRDC Top Invention Award, Vasvik Award, and DRDO Academic Excellence Award. He is on the Board of Directors of M/S Astra Microwave Private Limited, a major private company involved in the development of RF and Microwave systems in India. See less
