Bev Linder knows what it is like to live in the trenches of the day-to-day challenges that come with trying to keep up with therapies and interventions, countless surgeries and illnesses, as well as seeking to survive the disappointments of social rejection and having a hard time "fitting in." While she and her husband Mike raised their two children who had significant disabilities, a conviction kept growing in their hearts that although the reality of disability is an undeniable daily challenge, their children had more basic needs, needs deep in their being that are common to all kids. The more Mike and Bev turned their focus away from their kids' special needs and onto "the person in there," the more their joy as parents grew. Bev is also the author of A Never-Give-Up Heart, which has been distributed worldwide. She is the founder of Special Heart ministry, which puts her in touch with "special" parents across the globe.
